Another week for Spalding and District League of ups, with matches caught up, and downs, with two more postponements.
At least on balance it was more of the former with four catch-ups finished plus three on schedule.
In Division 1 Leaders Moulton SE held on thanks to two wins, both against Outsiders.
The first had been held over from November which they won by 4 – 1, Outsiders taking the final doubles.
They followed this with the scheduled match which went their way 3 – 2.
Stephen Appleby took two and brother Andrew added the vital winning point.
However a fine fighting performance from Keith Davey picked up a singles for Outsiders along with the second doubles.
Moulton then added a further point with a doubles win against Nets n Edges which was brought forward.
Reconstituted Jokers set about JDM in no uncertain terms taking the match 5 – 0 against a team having to fill places, and so moving them into second spot.
Tom Chesworth helped out in JDM’s unfinished match against Mine’s a Pint, taking two excellent wins in the singles and teaming up with father Jon for the doubles.
South Holland faced Underdogs and Jean White took the first game.
However that was the sum total of their success with Kelvin Preville and Dylan Taylor taking the rest of the points.
Aches and Pains met Nets n Edges and went down by 2 – 3.
Reece Kerry won both his singles and helped take the doubles, but Garry Wilkinson and Hannah Gilbert won the other singles.
The two points lift them off the foot of the table.
Earlier Pains had completed their Marylands cup match with Hurricane Brothers when Gilbert took the deciding point for them to reach the final.
The Brothers then completed a 4 – 1 win over title contenders 200 up which moves them ahead of their rivals on countback.
