Just the one First Division match this week and it was a cracker! Division leaders NA Buzzards were held to a draw by club colleagues NA Condors, who were inspired by a superb maximum from Yannick Tushingham.

Division Two leaders, NA Eagles, had a fine 8-2 win over club colleagues the Falcons, Jim McIvor with a maximum for the Eagles. Second-placed Torbay Academy 2 closed the gap on the leaders, with a whitewash victory over bottom team Brixham Trawlers, whose Warren Ngai, Esmeralda Suarez and Simon Furgol were rarely troubled by the Trawlers. Third-placed Brixham Pirates had two matches against the Taverners and won them both, accumulating 14 points to Taverners 6, with Martin Sharp and Allen Pack talking maximums for the Pirates. Helen Glover, with another maximum, helped her Marldon team to a 6-4 win over Denbury Tykes.
NA Eagles’ Andy Tyrrell & Jim McIvor v Chris Baron & Jeremy Broad, NA Falcons
It is tight at the top of the Third Division, with just 5 points separating the top three. Leaders Torbay Academy 3, with Matt Cooper unbeaten, beat Dawlish Diamonds 8-2. Second-placed Marldon Tykes, with a maximum from skipper Steve Metcalfe, shared the points with Torbay Academy 4. NA Hawks, in third place with their skipper, Doug Morgan, man of the match, defeated Torbay Academy 5 8-2. Dale Fabian and Peter Tarjan were both unbeaten as NA Kestrels defeated Brixham Dolphins, to keep the Kestrels fine run of form going.

Fourth Division leaders Hasbeens had to fight all the way to defeat Torre Panthers 6-4, with Mike Coxhead the star man for the Hasbeens. NA Owls’ Rowan Bayliss, with another maximum, helped his side to a 6-4 win over Dawlish Drifters. Torbay Academy 6 were also 6-4 winners over Torre Tigers, and young Alessandro Mitranescu was unbeaten for the Academy side
Torbay Academy 7, already with a comfortable lead at the top of the Fifth Division, had Todor Trionski in fine form as they defeated Brixham Seals 8-2. NA Ospreys, their closest challengers, had two matches and grasped the opportunity to close the gap, winning 9-1 at Dawlish against the Delights and then defeating the other Dawlish side in this Division, the Dodgers, 8-2 at Teign School. Skipper Rob Ferguson was unbeaten in both matches, and Ollie Pead and Henry Greet also took maximums for the Ospreys. Brixham Swifts, with James Rodger going well, picked up their second win of the season as they defeated NA Merlins 6-4.
