With the League all wrapped up for the season, it is now just the 2 Cup competitions to fight for: the Challenge Cup and the Dyment Doubles Shield.  Torbay Academy I, already successful in winning the First Division, and holders of both the Cup competitions for the last 2 years, are looking good going for the treble.

In the Challenge cup, the Torbay Academy I side of Kris Piwowar, Patrik Cincala and Grzeg Wojtowicz, defeated Denbury Tykes 5-2. The Tykes side, who were also challenging for a treble as Division 3 winners, put up a reasonable fight, but the all-round play of the Academy side saw them home.  They will face NA Buzzards in the final, who saw off the challenge of Torbay Academy III 5-3, thanks to a maximum from young Stover student, Kelvin Cheung who was well supported by Andy Tyrrell & Mike Kiff.

The Dyment Doubles Shield Final will be between Torbay Academy I and Denbury Tykes. The Academy side defeated Fourth Division champions NA Falcons 5-2, while the Denbury Tykes team of Martin Dilkes, Pat & Huw Darch got the better of a battling Torbay Academy II who pushed the Tykes all the way, with 4 of the sets going to the 5th deciding game, but eventually the Academy side went down 5-2.
