Urban head to Scotland in latest PBL action

Urban’s pursuit of the Premier British League title continues in Scotland this weekend as they travel to face North Ayrshire.

Satoshi Aida, Daniel Kosiba, Daniel Schaffer and Alim Hirji will once again spearhead the attack for the league leaders, who face a North Ayrshire side with just one win from their opening five games.

Schaffer has proved to be Urban’s key performer so far, with the ever-present boasting an impressive 90% win record at the start of the season, while Aida, playing at number one, has won seven of his eight games.

North Ayrshire are expected to line up with Sean Doherty, Richard Main, Colin Dalgleish, Christopher Main.

The tie of the round will be held in Cleveland, as Ormesby welcome Ormeau in a battle of two top-four sides.

Ormesby have been boosted with the addition of Portuguese talent Tian Ming Zhao, world ranked 316.

He will be joined by regulars Viktor Brodd, Darius Knight and captain Danny Reed, with the hosts strong favourites as Ormeau travel without some of their key performers.

Neither Vitor Seiji Ishiy or Oriol Monzo will play, meaning Paul McCreery and Ashley Robinson will be joined by Owen Cathcart and Keith Knox.

The other title-chasers, Drumchapel, head to Wales this weekend to take on a Cardiff side among the four clubs with just one win to their name.

The defending champions will be looking to put on a big score against their opponents, with set and game ratio potentially pivotal by the end of the season.

Finally, one of Fusion and BATTS can take a big stride towards safety as the two clubs clash this weekend.

All four clubs in the bottom half of the division currently hold two league points. However, one of these two teams can put some distance between themselves and the rest with victory in this game.

Malte Moregard, Jack Bennett, Steve Beerling and Ethan Walsh will by BATTS’ quartet.
