East Boldon C v Eagles

A cracking result from the Eagles team against a very experienced East Boldon consisting of Jordan Dove, Bruce Davison and Adam Allsop

Eagles travelled with youngsters Haydn Williamson and Luke Dumighan, and with Jack Pugh missing, substituted Paul Salkeld into the team. Some great games were played and all of the Eagles were successful in winning games and with Paul Salkeld winning 2 the score ended up with a narrow defeat to the Eagles team.  From East Boldon, Adam was MVP with 3 successes on the night but with all games to going to at least 4 ends, and 6 going to 5 it was a really close match with score ending up 6-4 to East Boldon in a really thrilling match.

Desperadoes v Brandon E

A very competitive game between local rivals matched Kevin Anderson with Dennis and Chris Jennings for Desperadoes against PipnpongPaul Henderson and brothers’ Will and Alex Murphy. The first game was a cracker between Kevin and Will going to 4 ends with Kevin succumbing to Will’s excellent forehand drives. Chris had a very good game against PingpongPaul but couldn’t overcome Pauls consistency and went down in the final end. Dennis had better fortune against Alex and after losing the first end 15-13 he went on to come out victorious by 3 ends to 1. The Desperadoes went on a streak of 5 wins out of the next 7 to give them a 6-4 win with Dennis taking MVP and Kevin taking 2 and Dennis and Kevin taking the doubles.
