Both our A & C team weren't in action this week. Our B Team played in Div 2 against Denbigh B at home and won the game 6-4. Norman Stagg continued his brilliant form taking maximum games in the individuals and narrowly missing out on a doubles win partnered by Captain Dave Foster. Wins also by Dave (2) and John Hughes (1) helped secure the match win overall. This win pushes our B Team into 2nd place in the Div 2 League now behind Police B who are 6 points ahead but having played one more game.

All 3 teams have been in action over the last week. Our A team playing twice to try and catch up on games missed due to injuries. They traveled away to Conwy A and were beaten 6-4 then played Trinity B at home who beat then 3-7. Our B Team went to play at Craig y Don A and thrashed them 0-10. Our C Team played against Denbigh C and were beaten 2-8.

Week 2 in the 2nd Division of the 2018 League saw Rhyl C and Rhyl B go head to head on Tuesday night.

The new season is underway. We have 3 Teams competing in the Llandudno District Table Tennis League this season. Our A Team captained by Barrie Russ in Division 1, our B Team captained by David Foster and our C Team captained by Gillian Godfrey both teams competing in Division 2.

"Oh what a night" Rhyl Table Tennis Club cleaned up the annual prize giving at the League Presentation Evening last Friday (2/6/2017).The trophies were coming thick and fast for our club. The club General Manager & Coach commenting, "Its great to see so members being awarded prizes and all bar myself being new Table Tennis players in the league this year. I'm really proud to see 9 out of the 23 trophies presented to members of Rhyl Table Tennis Club on the night. Great Performance" See Below

New to the Division 2 league this year our C Team after finding their feet along the way finished stronger both as a team but also as individuals. The team played 558 games overall this season from 18 matches, that's a lot of Table Tennis. Although they didn't manage to secure a match win this season they did secure winning 35 games across the season. That said our C Team players did very well in both the Closed & Handicap Competitions this season securing a lot of silverware.

Our B Team was a new team to the league this season. After a slow start the team started winning games and matches and achieving 8th position in the division securing 58 points. Playing a total of 573 games between them and winning 208 games its a good performance for the first season. Captain Dave Foster secured joint 4th place in the Player of Match awards this season. Reaching the semi final of the league cup and runners up in the final of the Div 2 Consolation Cup its been a good season.

As the league comes to a close for 2016-2017 our A Team secured 7th place in the league securing 74 points. The winners of the Div 1 this year being, Amlwch A with 163 points. A full breakdown of the Teams performance for the season can be found below.

Our C Team and our Lady Team finish the 2016/17 season on a high and proud of their achievements. Again another brand new team to the league this year have consistently improved their own games over the season. Pat Peak took a game away from Trinity E in a 5 set thriller this week beating Dan Agnew 2-3 coming back from being 2-1 down and the 5th set Pat winning 14/16. Well done ladies.

Our B Team have reached the final of the Llandudno TT League Division 2 Consolation Cup Final. They will play Craig Y Don B Team. Captain Dave Foster commented, " I'm so proud of our achievements this season. We were a new team at the start of the season and having reached the quarter finals of the Handicap Consolation cup and now the final of the League Consolation Cup a final push could see us finish in the top 6 in the league too"

Our B & C Teams were in action last week in round 24 of the Llandudno TT League. Our C Team taking the credit in the LTTL news round up this week. Despite losing 8-2 both Pat and Gill taking games in their match against Denbigh C. Our B Team were on the end of a 1-9 thrashing at the hands of Craig Y Don A despite Dave Foster taking a game and his remaining games being a 5 & 4 set close encounter. Our A Team were in action in the cup game up at Amlwch in which they lost.

Our B Team were in action this week whilst our A & C Teams took a rest. Before we report on the match we would like to pay our respects following the sudden death of Harry Rose, captain of the Denbigh B team. Harry was a true gentleman both on and off the Table Tennis tables and a true advocate for the game across North Wales. Our thoughts are with his Wife, Daughter and close family at this sad time. Both our B & C Teams were in action this week. Our C Team playing Craig y Don B. Although having been beaten 0-10 all the hard work at the tables over the months was evident in some of the games. Chris Davies taking her opening game to 5 sets and Pat Peak taking her opening game to 4 sets. The B Team were away to Amlwch C. The match ended 5-5 and was quoted by Llandudno TTL as, "the closest match of the week" John Hughes taking 1 game, Andy Chambers taking 1 game & Dave Foster 3 games.

Ben Moore who was coached by Barrie Russ since he was 9 years old has been chosen to represent Wales Table Tennis Junior Team. The full Press Release issued by St David's College can be seen by clicking here. Barrie Russ commented for this site by saying "I'm immensely proud of what Ben has achieved. He (Ben Moore) worked so hard on his game in the early years and whilst playing for Rhyl TT Club in the league last year, its great to see he's getting his reward, Well done Ben"

It was also week 20/21 for Division 2 of the Llandudno TT League Last week. It was local Derby Night for our B & C Teams. The full League round can be seen below but after our B Team taking maximum points and helping them to climb to within 1 point of Denbigh B in the league it was a great night. David Foster coming off with player of the match but the quote of the week is " The best performance by a C team player was George Stanley Evans taking a game from John Hughes" Well done George.

Division 1 round up in week 20/21 of the league involved our A Team with Barrie Russ giving opportunities to both David Foster & John Hughes to play in the big league. Week 19 of the LTTL and only our B Team were in action this week... Great result Boys and Dave Foster takes his 4th Player of the Match Award this season with a straight 3 games singles victory and along with John Hughes won the doubles match to secure a 3-7 victory away from home to Trinity E
