In the first division, Amlwch A remain on track to retain their title following an 8-2 victory overConwy B. In the game of the night Reg John landed his maximum by an accomplished defensive display over five games against Paul Hulme. Some other big hitting on the night was produced byMelvyn Booker, Emyr Owen and Keith WilliamsKeith remains unbeaten and only dropped one game on the night. Emyr lost both of his five game encounters to Sean Lucas and Melvyn. Trinity Aremain a clear second beating Y Morfa 7-3. Abhishek Bathula won all his three singles and teamed up with Qwen Hopwood to land the doubles. Owen lost his first game of the season losing out to Rob Stanway 14-16 in the fifth. Colin McEvoy and Rob both got the better of Ben MoorePolice A beatTrinity B 7-3 with both Roger Lee and Mark Pugh remaining unbeaten on the night including the doubles. The closest game witnessed the Trinity B captain Rob Stewert beating Steve Freeman12-10 in the fifth.
In the second division, Trinity C lie seven points clear with only two matches remaining. This week they beat Denbigh C 10-0 with only two games going Denbigh’s way. Martin Bill won one game against Roy Williams and Harry Jones took one from Fred MooreJosh Gilmore dropped no games en route to his maximum. Rhyl B remain in the title race thanks to a 9-1 win against Poilce B.Dave Foster and Norman Stagg won all their games on the night including the doubles. The Police B point was secured by John Cartwright who won a five-game thriller against John HughesCraig- y-don B have moved into third following their 9-1 win over Rhyl C. The Rhyl point was won over five games by Marcus Jones against Dave Strange. Marcus narrowly lost out in another five game thriller to Keith Potter. Ady Waugh’s maximum was completed without dropping a game.  Amlwch C were involved in two tight matches beating Craig-y-don A 6-4 but losing by the same score line toDenbigh B. Don Grigg representing Denbigh B won all his three and teamed up with Iain McGillivray to land the doubles. Jonathan Hughes twice lost out in five game matches to Matthew Winnett and Mark Hadcock. In the islander’s victory over Craig-y-don ACaren Ault secured her maximum beating Bob Hughes 11-6 in the fifth. In the final game of the evening Matthew beat John Bastin 11-7 in the fifth to win the match.
