Llandudno TT League Match Round Up Week 7

A Team: Our A Team played away at Trinity A this week. Having now played all 3 Trinity teams and having beaten Trinity B and C Teams previously our lads lost this week with a heavy defeat losing 8-2 in this near top of the table clash. It meant after this weeks round of matches our A Team are 4th in Division One behind Trinity A. Captain Barrie Russ commented, "We are sure we will bounce back when we play them at ours next. Next home match is against Amlwch A Friday Nov 18th. Barrie commented, "top of the League, hard game to come, but we'll give it our best shot"

B Team: Our B Team played against Amlwch C at home. Riding high following the win last week in the Club Derby match our boys were confident they could get something out of this match.  The games were closely contested and despite Captain Dave Foster winning all 3 of his matches they lost the match overall on the night 3-7. Captain Dave Foster commented, " We could have had more points from the match overall, Kevin Peavoy's games going to 4 sets then losing 9-11 in the fifth was a great effort and such hard luck for Kevin". The extra 3 points gained on the night sees our B Team climb to 7th in Division Two above Trinity E and Denbigh C. Our Captain was voted Player of the match for the second consecutive week for his efforts. Next match is Monday 14th November away to Craig Y Don A.

C Team: Our C Team were away at Craig Y Don B. Our ladies are still smiling despite the loss to our B Team the week before.  They went with some confidence having again won points in games last week and in recent weeks and they are edging closer to winning points in the Division. Captain Christine Davies commented ahead of the game, " We are edging closer to winning. Pat Peak last week took John Hughes (Rhyl B) to a 5 set match so I feel confident she may give her opponents a run for their money tonight". On the night Pat did take one of her opponents to a 5 set game in which she won her first two games only to lose 3-2 in that match. Gill Godfrey also took one of her opponents to a 4 set game having taken the first game with an impressive 2-11 result. The C Team are the strongest in Division Two however and despite their appearance are holding all the other Teams in the Division above them.... Their next match is Tuesday 15th November at home to Denbigh C.

Our General Manager and Coach Barrie Russ commented this week by saying, “ It’s great to see progress being made across all our Teams and the Club nights are certainly getting more competitive too”.
