Without club secretaries we couldn't play table tennis. They often go about their work un-noticed, giving their time for free to make our lives easy. Turn up and play. But our actions and behaviours can have a massive impact on them as they scurry around to find replacements at the last minute, settle disputes or even sometimes put their hands in their own pockets to pay fees their members should have given them.
