The Sentinel Cup Final will take place on Wednesday 21st March at Ball Green and yet again it will be between the Norton A and Norton B teams. Norton B have won it for the past 2 years, but the A team want it back, but everyone is welcome and it should be a great contest. The Bradwell Handicap Final will be between Bradwell C and MESC D and a date is yet to be agreed.
Before that we still have two weeks of matches left before the end of the season, but the weather is trying to thwart us. Fortunately matches can be postponed due to bad weather conditions, but all must be played within 4 weeks, so any outstanding matches should be finalised before the Easter Break. There haven’t been any changes in the Premier Division, but both Kidsgrove B and Bradwell C will be relegated. Just who will win Division 1 is a bit of a lottery, as Norton E and MESC B share the points at the top of the Table, 6 points clear of the rest, but the Norton side do have 2 point lead in sets averages, so every game over the next two weeks could see the positions changing, but both will be promoted. Down at the bottom, both the Kidsgrove C and D teams will be relegated.
Norton K had a tough match against Kidsgrove F, with all the first 4 games going the distance and being shared equally, but the Norton team turned on the heat and with a maximum 3 from Molly Hancock and 2 from sister Lucie, they powered away to a 7-3 win, making sure of promotion. Runners-up is still to be decided and is between the MESC C and D teams, the C team have the advantage, but anything can change over the next few weeks.
