Each Club needs to fill in the Player Registration Form 2018-19 also by Monday 10th September to: -  padtta.fixturessecretary@gmail.com. Please can you make it clear who is the Team Captain of each Team. This person will be the main point of contact for the Team.

As mentioned at the AGM, any persons who are the point of contact for the Club or a Team will need to login to their own Table Tennis England Membership, navigate to the tab called “Membership” then hover over the tab called “My Data”, which then show 3 options, click on “Privacy” this is where the person can select what information is shown on the ‘Peterborough Table Tennis League’ website.

Now for the long winded bit!

Now, I am asking every Club to complete and return their Player Registration Form 2018-19.

NOTE: Please make sure you use the Player Registration Form 2018-19 as there is now an extra part to the form (‘Online Match Card Entry System’ on Page 2).

When filling out the Player Registration Form 2018-19, please note that each Team that the Club is entering the League must have at least 3 Team Players Registered for each Team for the start of the League. Failure to Register 3 Team Players to a Team before the start of the League will result in the Team not be eligible to participate in this season’s League.

As mentioned at the AGM, the League will now be introducing the use of the new ‘Online Match Card Entry System’. This system allows anyone who is nominated to be able to ‘Submit’ and or ‘Approve’ their Completed Scorecard. On the Player Registration Form 2018-19 there is now a new section at the bottom on Page 2, where each Club/Team can nominate Players/Members/Volunteers to ‘Submit’ and or ‘Approve’ the Completed Scorecard for their Team or other Teams with in their Club. To be able to ‘Submit’ and or ‘Approve’ Completed Scorecards the nominated person(s) must have a valid Table Tennis England Membership of either an Associate Membership, Player Membership or Licence Membership.

Once I have each Team’s Player Registration Form back, I will then email out to the nominated persons the ‘How To’ instructions on ‘Submitting’ and or ‘Approving’ Completed Scorecards.

Just as a note, once you get the hang of ‘Submitting’ and or ‘Approving’ it can only take minutes, but the first time could take a bit of time, as you need to login in to their own Table Tennis England Membership admin area.

You will need to stress to the persons being nominated or volunteering that the ‘Online Match Card Entry System’ is NOT suitable to be used on a mobile phone.

The ‘Online Match Card Entry System’ is more suitable to be ‘Submitted’ and or ‘Approved’ on a computer, laptop or tablet.

Even with using the new ‘Online Match Card Entry System’ a copy of the Completed Scorecard MUST still be sent in to the correct Division Results Secretaries within 72 hours (3 days) of the match being played.

I must stress that there is no obligation for Clubs/Teams to use the ‘Online Match Card Entry System’. But we would encourage Clubs/Teams to do so.

Also mentioned at the AGM, there is no change to the Team League Fee for the 2018-19 season. Each Club/Team will need to pay £30.00 per team to be eligible to participate in the Peterborough and District Table Tennis Association League 2018-19.

Once the Team Registration Fees have been paid, this entitles each Team to participate in this season’s league and automatic entry into the Handicap Cup/Plate Competition 2018-19.

Failure to pay the Team Registration Fees before the start of the 2018/19 season may result in the Club/Team not being eligible to participate in this season’s league.

Also, please make sure all of your player has completed their Table Tennis England Registration and have a Valid 2018/19 Membership Number before the start of the season. (See link: - https://tabletennisengland.co.uk/play/membership/player-membership)

I hope everyone will enjoy the forthcoming season.
