League Update 9th September
With the Northumbria Table Tennis Summer League now completed teams are looking forward to the new winter season. While YMCA North Tyneside and North Fire have both dropped one of their teams from last year new entries have been received from Springwell, Brandon and Byshottles and two extra teams of young players from Cramlington TTC. This means that 54 teams will be taking part with eleven  in four of the five divisions this time round.
Newcomers to the Premier Division are Newton and Unionist Club ( formerly Mortimer) who are promoted from Division One along with  a second team from Springwell who will have two teams of Premier Division standard this time round. 
Cramlington Tigers and Riding Mill A were both relegated from the Premier to the first division which will also include Springwell C and Ouston A, the two sides coming up from Division two. Both Matfen A and B move up to Division two along with North East Chinese Association C while Brandon and Byshottles A, YMCA N.Tyneside B and Matfen D all take their places in Division three.
The fourth division includes newcomers Brandon B and the two young teams from Cramlington.
The league will be entering teams in both the National Junior League and the National Cadet League this year.
On the County front the Senior side are still in County Championships division 2 where they will come up against teams from Norfolk, Derbyshire, Bedford, Staffs, South Yorks, Leicester seconds, Camridge and Cambridge seconds. The veterans, promoted from division two last year will have tougher opposition in Division 1A in the shape of Lincoln, Lancs, Gloucester, Cheshire, Warwickshire, Staffs and Yorkshire seconds.
