League Update 28th October
Cramlington Stingers put an end to league leaders NESLC Eagles winning start in the Premier Division of the Northumbria League when Kevin Wilson and Gary Sangster both beat Richard Wilson and Paul Baines.   Jim Stamas, however was unbeaten for the Eagles in a drawn match.
Dave Robson was beaten for the first time this season by Chun Yin Yu when N.E. Chinese Association A defeated Byker A 6 – 4 .
Riding Mill A team made it six wins in a row to lead Division One although they were given a tough match when they visited Byker B. With the score at 4 – 4 either team could have won but Peter Stempczyk beat Steve Dickinson and Mark O’Connor completed his hat – trick with victory over Mark Kimberley. 
In Division Two Chas Robertson and Dave Lucas were in form for Newton B, remaining unbeaten in a 9 – 1 win over Cramlington Trojans to stay in second place behind Sacriston Aces. At the other end of the table Cramlington Cobras picked up their first victory when two sets each from Robert Swinburn, Mike Dunn and Blair Carmichael saw them defeat Matfen B although none of them could defeat Alex Holliday.
Neil Wilkinson, Peter Scott and Jeff McKenna were all unbeaten as Ouston B kept up their winning ways in Division Three at the expense of Cramlington Dragons  while second placed Old England FATTS only just won at home to the young Cramlington Corinthians side 6 – 4, Barry  Matthews and Nigel Coe getting two sets each. Adam Webster and Andrew Matfin got two each for the visitors. 
Young Joe Hastings turned in the best performance of the week in Division Four when he played for the Jaguars against the Ravens  with a hat – trick against the Ravens.
 
The Cramlington 2 Star Junior tournament takes place at Sporting Club Cramlington on Saturday starting at 9 .30 a.m. Players from South Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire. the Isle of Man, Cleveland and Durham as well as Northumberland are taking part.
