NTTL Reports 2018-2019 Season

Week 1 - W/C 24th September

Premier Division

The Premier Division opened the season with seven teams, having lost Westfield Dragons who have ceased to exist and DCA Panthers who asked to be relegated to Division One and gained DCA Tigers who won promotion from Division One. In the first week the Kingsley A match against Park Avenue was actually played at Park Avenue as the Kingsley venue was unavailable. Andy Wood and Jamie Chamberlain both won two and Gerald Henson one for the Avenue while Tony Woodward and Brian Wooding also won two each for Kingsley but the match was decided when Andy and Gerald defeated Brian and Tony in the final doubles in straight sets.

In the local derby clash between the two DCA teams  Martin Hall hit a hat trick for the Flyers, Aled Roberts a brace and young Anna Wilson one with Martin and Aled also winning the doubles. For the newly promoted Tigers Oleg Plugaru won two and Mark Thomas one.

Northampton Hares had a big win against Headlands Harriers with hat tricks from Steve Hobbs and Dave Welsman and a brace from Maggie Welsman. The solitary point for the Harriers came from Ian Baldock's victory over Maggie. However it was good to see Auch Demeter playing again for the Harriers after his long lay off due to illness last season.

Division 1

DCA Eagles had an 8-2 win over clubmates the Panthers  with Paul Nichols and Aled Roberts both scoring hat tricks and also taking the doubles. Frank Whiteley won one to complete the scoring for the Eagles. George Bashford and Felix Machin Bradbury scored for the Panthers.

Gayton beat promoted Headlands Hares  9-1 with Alan Creed scoring the Hares solitary point. David Howard and Jim Brogan both scored maximums and Richard Pringuer won two and combined with David to take doubles.

Saints beat Headlands Hawks 7-3 with Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both scoring trebles and also taking the doubles/ Mayur Shah Hartley Hancock and John McMahon all won one for the Hawks 

Division 2

ACC A who were relegated last season got off to a good start with a 7-3 win against Bridge. Duncan Brudenall and Chris Gibbs both recorded hat tricks and combined to win the doubles for ACC. In reply for Bridge, Steve Carroll, Eugene Nolan and Aaron Donoghue all won one each.

Headlands Herons also won 7-3 against ACC B. The Herons trio of James Bashford, Keith Parsons and Steve Bashford all won two singles each with Keith and Steve also teaming up to win the doubles. In reply for ACC, Abir Datta recorded a hat trick.

In the DCA derby match the Leopards beat the Lions 6-4. Leopards Mark Stewart with juniors Virgil Birch-Abban and Vincent Pham all won two singles each. For the Lions, Albert Pang making a return to the league after a few years away won all three singles and then teamed up with Fred Wakefield to win the doubles.

Headlands Hyenas who were a player short drew 5-5 against Headlands Hornets. Graham Dove and Tony Rutter won two singles each and then teamed up to win the doubles for the Hyenas. In reply for the Hornets, Alan Dale and Gwyn Powell won one singles each.

Week 2 - W/C 1st October

Premier Division

Northampton Hares, now playing at the Headlands venue, had a tough encounter with Kingsley A and despite Brian Wooding's fine hat-trick for Kingsley managed to force a 5-5 draw, Steve Hobbs and Pawel Juraszczyk both winning two and then combining to win the final doubles against Brian and Chris Stone, albeit by 11-7 in the fifth set. For Kingsley Tony Woodward and Chris Stone both beat David George.

Park Avenue had a big win in their away match against DCA Tigers and although four events went to an extra set the Avenue trio swept all before them in a 10-0 victory.

DCA Flyers could field only two players for their away match against Kingsley B and despite a hat-trick from Martin Hall who beat Andy Harrison, Tony Wharton and Andy Law they went down by 3-7.  The doubles was interesting however as Martin and Anna Wilson had a long encounter with Tony and Andy law but just couldn't get the result they deserved as they lost by 11-6 11-8 4-11 14-16 11-7.

Division 1

Headlands Hedgehogs had an 8-2 victory over Gayton with David Smith and Phil Hackett both scoring maximums and also took the doubles with Steve Fuller winning one, Jim Brogan and Richard Pringuer both won one for Gayton ,

DCA Panthers beat Kingsley C 8-2 Virgil Abban scoring a hat trick and Alec Kingston and George Bashford both winning two.. Alec and Virgil also took the doubles. Scott Dixon scored both Kingsley's points.

Saints had a 9-1 win over Headlands Hares. Gabor Toth and Nigel Thompson both scoring trebles with Mick Henderson winning two and combining with Nigel to take the doubles .Alan Creed  scored the Hares point.

DCA Eagles had a 7-3 win over Headlands Hawks with Aled Roberts remaining unbeaten and Paul Nichols and Frank Whiteley both won two with Paul and Aled also taking the doubles. Mayur Shah took the two points for the Hawks.

Division 2

ACC A had a convincing 10-0 win against Headlands Hyenas thanks to the trio of Rob Slough, Duncan Brudenall and Chris Gibbs all remaining unbeaten with Duncan and Chris also combining to win the doubles.

DCA Leopards also had a convincing 10-0 win against ACC B with Vincent Pham, Mark Stewart and Virgil Birch-Abban all recording hat tricks with Vincent and Mark then combining to win the doubles.

DCA Lions also won 10-0 against Headlands Hornets thanks to hat tricks from Fred Wakefield, Albert Pang and Bob Pickersgill. Albert and Bob also combined to win the doubles.

Bridge beat Headlands Herons 8-2 with Colin Haddon winning three while Eugene Nolan and Steve Carroll both won two each. Steve and Colin also combined to win the doubles. In reply for the Herons Steve Bashford won two.

Week 3 - W/C 8th October

Premier Division

The clash of the two Kingsley sides resulted in a7-3 victory for the A team even though they could field only two players with Brian Wooding and Chris Stone both gaining hat-tricks and also combining to win the doubles.

Northampton Hares beat DCA Tigers 7-3 with a treble from Pawel Juraszczyk, a brace from Aaron Lee and one win by David George. Pawel and Aaron also teaming up to beat Oleg Plugaru and Alec Kingston in the doubles. For the Tigers Oleg won two and Alec one,

DCA Flyers beat bottom team Headlands Harriers by 8-2 thanks to a treble from Martin Hall  and braces from Dan Appanna and Ray Kingston. Ian Baldock was the saviour for the Harriers as his wins over Ray and Dan prevented the whitewash.

Division 1

Saints had a 6-4 win over Kingsley C with Gabor Toth scoring a maximum and Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both won one and also  combined to take the doubles. Terry Spurgeon and Scott Dixon both won two for Kingsley.

Headlands Hawks beat a two man Headlands Hedgehogs 7-3 with new signing Clive Kelly bagging a pair with Hartley Hancock and Mayur Shah both winning one with three points conceded. Dave Smith won two for the Hogs and also took the doubles with Phil Hackett.

Headlands Hares and DCA Eagles fought out a 5-5 draw with Trevan Vass winning two for the Hares and Alan Creed and Sue Moloney both winning one. Alan and Trevan also took the doubles. Paul Nichols scored a hat trick for the Eagles and Mark Thomas won two.

Division 2

ACC A who are top, drew 5-5 against DCA Lions, who moved up to second. For ACC Chris Gibbs won three and Pete Gibbs won one, they then combined to win the doubles. In reply for the Lions, Bob Pickersgill won two and Alan Chadwick won one.

Headlands Herons moved up to third after a 9-1 win against Headlands Hornets. Herons, James and Steve Bashford both recorded trebles while Keith Parsons won two. James and Keith then combined to win the doubles. Steve Battison won one in reply for the Hornets.

Headlands Hyenas beat ACC B 9-1 thanks to hat tricks from Graham Dove and Tony Rutter, who also combined to win the doubles, while Luke Coleman won two. Dave Kerslake won one in reply for ACC.

 

Week 4 - W/C 15th October

Premier Division

The match of the week was the close contest between Park Avenue and DCA Flyers with nine extra sets needed. the lead changed hands a few times with a hat trick from Dan Appanna giving the Flyers a good advantage. However two wins each by Andy Wood and Jamie Chamberlain and one by Gerald Henson gave the Avenue a 5-4 lead as Martin Hall had beaten Gerald Henson. The result was settled as a 5-5 draw when Dan and Martin combined to beat Andy and Gerald in the final doubles.

Northampton Hares remain unbeaten as they beat Kingsley B by 7-3  with a hat-trick by Nick Howard who was recently signed on as the Hares were having problems with injuries. Maggie Welsman won two and Pawel Juraszczyk one with Nick and Pawel also taking the doubles. Andy Harrison won two and Andy Law one for Kingsley

A hat-trick by Alec Kingston and braces from both Oleg Plugaru and Bob Pickersgill helped DCA Tigers to an 8-2 victory over Headlands Harriers, whose only points came from Ian Baldock with his wins against Oleg and Bob. Despite the final result many of the events were very close and a total of 12 extra sets were played.

Division 1

Headlands Hedgehogs beat Saints 6-4 despite a hat trick from Gabor Toth. Nigel Thompson also won one for the Saints. Steve Fuller and Dave Smith both scored doubles and also took the doubles with Phil Hackett winning one for the Hogs.

DCA Panthers beat a two man Headlands Hawks 7-3 with Felix Machin-Bradbury winning two and George Bashford and Ian McIlwaine both won one with three points conceded by the Hawks. Mayur Shah won two for the Hawks and took the doubles with Hartley Hancock.

DCA Eagles had a convincing 8-2 win over Gayton with Richard Howes scoring a hat trick and Mark Thomas and Paul Nichols both bagging pairs. Richard and Mark also took the doubles. For Gayton David Howard and Suraj Ajit both won one.

Kingsley C had a 5-5 draw with Headlands Hares with Scott Dixon scoring a maximum and Terry Spurgeon and Clive Appleton both winnig one. Trevan Vass and Sue Moloney both won two and also took the doubles for the Hares. 

Division 2

DCA Leopards moved up to third after a 6-4 win against ACC A who remain top. For the Leopards, Vincent Pham and Virgil Birch-Abban both won two singles each and then combined to win the doubles, while Nigel Corbett won one singles. ACC’s points came from two wins each for Chris and Pete Gibbs.

DCA Lions are second after a 7-3 against ACC B. Sue Armstrong, Albert Pang and Alan Chadwick all won two singles each with Albert and Alan combining to win the doubles. In reply for ACC, Abir Datta recorded a hat trick.

Headlands Hyenas beat Headlands Herons 7-3 thanks to a hat trick from Hafiz Amour, a double from Graham Dove and a single from Tony Rutter. Graham and Tony then combined to win the doubles. In reply for the Herons, James Bashford won two and Steve Bashford won one.

Headlands Hornets drew 5-5 against Bridge. For the Hornets, Bob Underwood and Alan Dale won two each while Trevor Little won one. For Bridge, Steve Carroll won three while Joseph White won one, they then combined to win the doubles.

Week 5 - W/C 22nd October

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Gayton had the first 10-0 victory this season beating Kingsley C . David Howard Suraj Ajit and Richard Pringuer all scored hat tricks with David and Richard also taking the doubles.

Saints drew with DCA Eagles with Gabor Toth scoring a maximum and Mick Allen and Nigel Thompson both won one. For the Eagles Aled Roberts scored a double and Paul Nichols and Frank Whiteley both won one with Aled and Paul also taking the doubles.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat DCA Panthers 8-2 with Dave Smith scoring a maximum and Steve Fuller and Luke Coleman both bagging pairs and Dave and Luke also took the doubles.  George Bashford and Felix Machin Bradbury both won one for the Panthers.

Headlands Hawks had a 9-1 win over Headlands Hares with Trevan Vass scoring the Hares point. Clive Kelly and Mayur Shah both scored maximums and John McMahon won two with Clive and Mayur also taking the doubles. 

Division 2

ACC A remain top after a 10-0 win against Headlands Hornets. Chris Gibbs, Duncan Brudenall and Pete Gibbs all recorded hat tricks with Chris and Duncan also teaming up to win the doubles.

DCA Leopards are second after they beat Headlands Herons 10-0. Virgil Birch-Abban, Vincent Pham and Mark Stewart all recorded trebles with Virgil and Vincent also teaming up to win the doubles.

Bridge drew 5-5 against ACC B. For Bridge, Colin Haddon and Eugene Nolan both won two singles each while Joseph White won one. In reply for ACC, Abir Datta won three and Michael Shannon won one. Abir and Michael then teamed up to win the doubles.

Week 6 - W/C 29th October

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Only two games were played this week with two postponements.

Headlands Hawks beat Gayton 6-4 with Mayur Shah and Clive Kelly both winning two and Hartley Hancock won one and combined with Clive to take the doubles 11-8 in the fifth. For Gayton David Howard won two with David Allen and Suraj Ajit both winning one.

Saints beat DCA Panthers 7-3 with Gabor Toth scoring his fifth consecutive hat trick with Mick Henderson bagging a pair and Mick Allen winning one. Gabor and Mick Henderson also took the doubles. George Bashford won two and Felix Machin Bradbury one for the Panthers. 

Division 2

ACC A remain top after an 8-2 win against ACC B. Chris Gibbs and Duncan Brudenall both recorded trebles while Pete Gibbs won two. In reply Dave Kerslake won one singles, and then teamed up with Abir Datta to win the doubles.

DCA Leopards remain second after an 8-2 win against Headlands Hornets. Virgil Birch-Abban and Vincent Pham both recorded trebles while Nigel Corbett won one. Virgil and Vincent also teamed up to win the doubles. In reply for the Hornets, Alan Dale and Trevor Little both won one each.

DCA Lions are third after beating Headlands Herons 9-1. Bob Pickersgill and Albert Pang both won three singles each and then teamed up to win the doubles while Alan Chadwick won two singles. In reply, Steve Bashford won one for the Herons.

Week 7 - W/C 5th November

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Headlands Hawks beat Kingsley C  6-4 with Clive Kelly and Mayur Shah scoring doubles and Hartley  Hancock winning one. Hartley and Clive also took the doubles. Scott Dixon scored a hat trick for Kingsley with Clive Appleton winning one.

DCA Eagles had a 6-4 win over Headlands Hedgehogs with Frank Whiteley Aled Roberts and Paul Nichols all winning two. Dave Smith all the Hogs points with a maximum and a doubles win with Phil Hackett.

DCA Panthers beat a weakened Headlands Hares side 7-3 with George Bashford and Felix Machin- Bradbury both scoring trebles with Ian McIlwaine winning one, Trevan Vass and Graham Dove both won one for the Hares with Trevan and Trevor Little winning the doubles.

Gayton had a 6-4 victory over Saints with David Howard and Suraj Ajit both bagging pairs and Richard Pringuer a single win and also taking the doubles with David Howard. Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both won two for the Saints.

Division 2

ACC A extended their lead at the top after beating Headlands Herons 7-3. Chris Gibbs and Duncan Brudenall both recorded trebles while Pete Gibbs won one. In reply for the Herons, James Bashford and Keith Parsons won one each and then combined to win the doubles.

Bridge beat third place DCA Lions 6-4. The Bridge trio of Colin Haddon, Steve Carroll and Wayde Sheppy all recorded two wins each. In reply for the Lions Bob Pickersgill recorded a hat trick and then teamed up with Fred Wakefield to win the doubles.

ACC B won their first match of the season against Headlands Hornets. Winning 8-2 thanks to a hat trick from Abir Datta and two wins each for Michael Shannon and Julie Neal. Abir and Julie also teamed up to win the doubles. Gwyn Powell won two in reply for the Hornets.

Week 8 - W/C 12th November

Premier Division


Division 1

Kingsley C drew with Saints 5-5 with Scott Dixon and John Stamp both winning two with Terry Spurgeon winning one. For Saints Gabor Toth scored a hat trick with Mick Allen winning one. Gabor teamed up with Mick Henderson to take the doubles and secure the draw.

DCA Eagles beat DCA Panthers 9-1 with Frank Whiteley and Aled Roberts both scoring maximums with Paul Nichols winning two and combining with Aled to take the doubles. Geotge Bashford scored the Panthers point.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat a two man Headlands Hawks 7-3 with David Smith winning two and Phil Hackett one. These tweo also took the doubles and three points were conceded by the Hawks.Mayur Shah won two and Hartley Hancock one for the Hawks.

Gayton had an 8-2 victory over Headlands Hares with Richard Pringuer scoring a treble and David Howard and Suraj Ajit both scored doubles. David and Richard also took the doubles.. Trevan Vass and Alan Creed both won one for the Hares. 

Division 2

DCA Lions moved up to second place after inflicting a first defeat of the season on DCA Leopards who drop down to third place. The Lions won 6-4 thanks to Bob Pickersgill and Albert Pang both winning two singles each and then teaming up to win the doubles, while Fred Wakefield won one singles. In reply for the Leopards, Mark Stewart and Virgil Birch-Abban both won two singles each.

Headlands Hyenas beat ACC B 6-4 thanks to two wins apiece for the Hyenas trio of Graham Dove, Hafiz Amour and Tony Rutter. In reply for ACC, Abir Datta recorded a hat trick and then teamed up with Dave Kerslake to win the doubles.

Week 9 - W/C 19th November

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Headlands Hares had their first win of the season beating Kingsley C 6-4 with Alan Creed scoring his first hat trick of the season with Trevan Vass winning two and Sue Moloney one. Scott Dixon scored a double for Kingsley and John Stamp won one and these two also took the doubles.

DCA Eagles had a 6-4 win over Gayton with Paul Nichols scoring a treble. Albert Pang  won two and Fred Wakefield one. For Gayton Richard Pringuer won twice and Suraj Ajit once with Richard and Dave Nichols   also taking the doubles.

DCA Panthers could only field two players and went down 8-2 to Headlands Hawks with George Bashford and Ian McIlwaine both winning one. Clive Kelly and Mayur Shah both remained unbeaten and Clive and Hartley Hancock also took the doubles with three points forfeited by the Panthers. 

Division 2

DCA Leopards moved up to second place after a 6-4 win against leaders ACC A. Mark Stewart led the way for the Leopards with a hat trick while Virgil Birch-Abban won two and Nigel Corbett won one. In reply for ACC, Chris Alder won two and Chris Gibbs won one and the two Chris’s teamed up to win the doubles.

Bridge beat Headlands Hornets 8-2 thanks to a hat trick from Colin Haddon and two wins apiece from Wayde Sheppy and Eugene Nolan. Colin and Eugene then teamed up to win the doubles. In reply for the Hornets, Steve Battison and Bob Underwood won one each.

Headlands Hyenas beat Headlands Herons 6-4 thanks to a hat trick from Luke Coleman, two wins from Tony Rutter and one win from Graham Dove. In reply for the Herons, James Bashford won two and Steve Bashford won one. James and Steve then teamed up to win the doubles.

Week 10 - W/C 26th November

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Headlands Hawks could only field two players but scrambled a draw against Saints with Clive Kelly scoring a maximum which included a first defeat for Gabor Toth with Hartley Hancock winning one and these two also took the doubles. Nigel Thompson and Gabor Toth both won one for the Saints with three points conceded by the Hawks.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat a two man DCA Eagles 8-2 with Dave Smith winning two and Steve Fuller and Luke Coleman both winning one. Dave Smith and Steve Fuller also took the doubles. Mark Thomas scored the Eagles points. 

Division 2

ACC A extend their lead at the top after a 9-1 win against Headlands Hornets. Chris Gibbs and Duncan Brudenall both won three singles each and also teamed up to win the doubles, while Pete Gibbs chipped in with two wins in the singles. In reply Alan Dale won one for the Hornets.

ACC B drew 5-5 with Headlands Herons, who were a player short. Abir Datta won his two singles for ACC. For the Herons, Steve Bashford and Keith Parsons won two singles each and then teamed up to win the doubles.

Week 11 - W/C 3rd December

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Saints had an 8-2 victory over DCA Panthers with Gabor Toth scoring a maximum and Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both scored doubles. The latter two also took the doubles. George Bashford and Virgil Birch-  Abban  scored the Panthers points.

DCA Eagles with two players from Div 2 beat Kingsley C 6-4. Aled Roberts Vincent Phan and Albert Pang all won two for the Eagles. Scott Dixon remained firm for Kingsley with a hat trick and together with John Stamp also took the doubles.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat Gayton 7-3 with Dave Smith scoring a straight sets hat trick and Steve Fuller also scored a maximum with Phil Hackett winning one. For Gayton Dave Nichols and Richard Pringuer both won one and also took the doubles.

Headlands Hawks beat Headlands Hares 8-2 with Clive Kelly winning two for the Hawks Mayur Shah and Hartley Hancock one each also taking the doubles. Three points were conceded by the Hares who could only field two players. Alan Creed scored both the Hares points.

Division 2

ACC A remain top after beating Headlands Hyenas 8-2 thanks to hat tricks from Chris Alder and Duncan Brudenall, Chris and Duncan also teamed up to win the doubles, while Pete Gibbs chipped in with one win. In reply for the Hyenas, Luke Coleman and Tony Rutter won one each.

DCA Leopards remain second after a 9-1 win against Headlands Hornets. Mark Stewart and Vincent Pham both recorded hat tricks while Nigel Corbett won two. Mark and Nigel then combined to win the doubles. Bob Underwood won one in reply for the Hornets.

DCA Lions remain third after a 7-3 win against Headlands Herons. For the Lions, Alan Chadwick won three, Bob Pickersgill won two and Fred Wakefield won one. Alan and Bob also teamed up to win the doubles. In reply for the Herons, James Bashford won two and Keith Parsons won one.

Bridge beat ACC B 6-4 thanks to two wins apiece from Paul Murphy, Steve Carroll and Aaron Donoghue. For ACC, Abir Datta won three singles and then teamed up with Andy Morrison to win the doubles.

Week 12 - W/C 10th December

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Saints beat DCA Eagles 6-4 with Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both scoring doubles and also taking the doubles. Mick Allen won one.For the Eagles Aled Roberts scored a maximum and Frank Whiteley won one.

Headlands Hawks beat Gayton 9-1 with Clive Kelly and Mayur Shah scoring hat tricks and Hartley Hancock won two  and took the doubles with Mayur Shah. Suraj Ajit scored Gayton's point.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat Headlands Hares 9-1 with Phil Hackett and Dave Smith both scoring maximums and also took the doubles with Steve Fuller winning two.Alan Creed scored  the Hares point.

Kingsley C recorded their first win of the season with a 7-3 win over DCA Panthers with Clive Appleton Terry Spurgeon and John Stamp all winning two and the latter two also took the doubles. George Bashford scored a treble for the Panthers

Division 2

ACC A beat their B team 10-0 thanks to trebles from Duncan Brudenall, Pete and Chris Gibbs, with Pete and Chris also combining to win the doubles.

DCA Leopards recorded a 9-1 win against Headlands Herons thanks to trebles from Virgil Birch-Abban and Mark Stewart while Nigel Corbett won two. Virgil and Nigel then combined to win the doubles. James Bashford won one in reply for the Herons.

DCA Lions beat Headlands Hornets 9-1 thanks to hat tricks from Albert Pang and Fred Wakefield, who also teamed up to win the doubles while Bob Pickersgill chipped in with two wins. Alan Dale won one in reply for the Hornets.

Bridge beat Headlands Hyenas 8-2 with Steve Carroll and Eugene Nolan both winning three each while Colin Haddon won two. In reply for the Hyenas, Graham Dove won one, with Tony Rutter and Luke Coleman combining to win the doubles.

Week 13 - W/C 17th December

Premier Division

 

Division 1

Saints had a 10-0 victory over Headlands Hares who could only field two players with Mick Henderson Mick Allen and Nigel Thompson all remaining unbeaten.

Headlands Hedgehogs had an 8-2 win over Kingsley C with Dave Smith scoring a maximum and Steve Fuller and Phil Hackett both scoring doubles and also winning the doubles. John Stamp scored the Kingsley points.

Headlands Hawks and DCA Eagles fought a 5-5 draw with the Eagles Aled Roberts scoring a treble and Paul Nichols a double. For the Hawks Clive Kelly won two and Mayur Shah and Hartley Hancock both won one. Clive and Hartley also took the doubles.

Gayton beat DCA Panthers 7-3 with David Allen Richard Pringuer and Suraj Ajit all winning twice and David and Richard also took the doubles. Panthers Felix Machin- Bradbury won two and George Bashford one.

 

Division 2

DCA Lions who are in third place beat leaders ACC A 6-4 thanks to a hat trick from Albert Pang and singles from Bob Pickersgill and Alan Chadwick with Albert and Bob also teaming up to win the doubles. In reply for ACC, Chris Alder and Chris Gibbs both won two singles each.

DCA Leopards beat ACC B 10-0 thanks to trebles from Virgil Birch-Abban, Vincent Pang and Mark Stewart. Virgil and Vincent also combined to win the doubles.

Bridge beat Headlands Herons 6-4 with Steve Carroll winning three, Eugene Nolan winning two and Alex Brown winning one. In reply for the Herons, James Bashford won two and Steve Bashford won one. James and Steve also teamed up to win the doubles.

Headlands Hyenas beat Headlands Hornets 9-1 thanks to hat tricks from Hafiz Amour and Tony Rutter, while Graham Dove chipped in with two wins. Tony and Graham then teamed up to win the doubles. Alan Dale won one in reply for the hornets.

Saints beat DCA Eagles 7-3 with Gabor Toth scoring his usual treble and Mick Henderson and Nigel Thompson both won two. Paul Nichols and Frank Whiteley both won one and also took the doubles for the Eagles

DCA Panthers drew with Kingsley C  with George Bashford and Felix Machin Bradbury both scoring doubles with reserve Nigel Corbett winning one. For Kingsley Scott Dixon scored a maximum Terry Spurgeon won one and these two also took the doubles.

Headlands Hedgehogs had a 6-4 win over Headlands Hawks with Dave Smith Steve Fuller and Jaime Kheddoo all scoring doubles. For the Hawks Clive Kelly scored a hat trick and also took the doubles with Mayur Shah.

Gayton beat a two man Headlands Hares 8-2 with David Howard Suraj Ajit both winning their games and also won the doubles. Three points were conceded by the Hares.Alan Creed and Sue Moloney both won one for the Hares.

Division 2

ACC A who were a player short remain top despite a 4-6 loss to Bridge. Steve Carroll who won two singles and combined with Colin Haddon to win the doubles for Bridge. For ACC, Chris Gibbs won three while Pete Gibbs won one.

DCA Leopards moved up to second after an 8-2 win at Headlands Herons. Leopards Vincent Pham and Virgil Birch-Abban both recorded trebles and also combined to win the doubles, while Keith Gamble won one. In reply for the Herons, Steve and James Bashford both won one each.

Headlands Hyenas beat ACC B 8-2 thanks to hat tricks from Tony Rutter and Luke Coleman while Graham Dove won two. In reply for ACC, Andy Morrison won one singles and then combined with Dave Kerslake to win the doubles.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat Kingsley C  7-3 with Dave Smith scoring a maximum and Phil Hackett and Jaimy Kheddoo both scored doubles. For Kingsley Scott Dixon won two and also took the doubles with Terry Spurgeon.

DCA Eagles lost 6-4 to Headlands Hawks and both Aled Roberts and Paul Nichols won two, Mayur Shah and Clive Kelly scored doubles for the Hawks with Hartley Hancock winning one and combining with Mayur to take the doubles and secure the win.

DCA Panthers beat Gayton 6-4 with Felix Machin-Bradbury scoring a hat trick George Bashford a double and these two also took the doubles. For Gayton David Howard won two with Richard Pringuer and Suraj Ajit both winning one.

Division 2

ACC A remain top after a 6-4 win against third place DCA Lions. Chris Alder led the way with a treble while Chris Gibbs won two and Pete Gibbs won one. For the Lions, Albert Pang won two and Alan Chadwick won one and these two then combined to win the doubles.

DCA Leopards in second place closed the gap at the top after a 10-0 win against ACC B. Vincent Pham, Virgil Birch-Abban and Nigel Corbett all recorded trebles with Vincent and Virgil also combining to win the doubles.

Headlands Hyenas beat Headlands Hornets 10-0 thanks to trebles from Graham Dove, Tony Rutter and Luke Coleman, with Tony and Luke also combining to win the doubles.

Bridge beat Headlands Herons 6-4 thanks to Steve Carroll winning three and Wayde Sheppy winning two. These two also combined to win the doubles. In reply for the Herons, Keith Parsons won two while James and Steve Bashford both won one each.

Headlands Hawks beat Kingsley C 9-1 with Mayur Shah and Clive Kelly scoring hat tricks and Hartley Hancock won two and also took the doubles with Clive Kelly. John Stamp scored Kingsley's point.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat DCA Panthers 7-3 with Dave Smith scoring a maximum Jaimie Kheddoo a double and these two also took the doubles. Steve Fuller won one for the Hogs to complete the scoring, Felix Machin Bradbury won two and Ian McIlwaine one for the Panthers.

Headlands Hawks beat DCA Panthers 6-4 with Clive Kelly scoring a maximum and Mayur Shah and Hartley Hancock both won one. Hartley and Clive also took the doubles. Felix Machin Bradbury and George Bashford both won two for the Panthers.

Gayton drew with DCA Eagles with David Howard scoring a hat trick and Richard Pringuer a double. Paul Nichols won two for the Eagles with Frank Whiteley and Mark Thomas both winning one. Frank and Mark also took the doubles 12-10 in the fifth.

DCA Panthers beat a weakened Headlands Hares side 9-1 with Trevan Vass scoring the Hares point. George Bashford and Felix Machin Bradbury both scored hat tricks and also took the doubles with Ian McIlwaine winning two.

Headlands Hawks beat Gayton 6-4 with Clive Kelly scoring a maximum and Mayur Shah and Hartley Hancock both won one. Hartley and Clive also took the doubles to cement the win.For Gayton David Howard won two and Suraj Ajit and Richard Pringuer one each.

Headlands Hedgehogs beat DCA Eagles 8-2 and look favourites for promotion.Phil Hackett scored a treble and Dave Smith and Jaimy Kheddoo both won two.Dave Smith and Aled Roberts two of the top ranked players fought a long battle  with Aled winning a five setter 13-11 13-11 7-11 11-13 13-11 Aled scored both the Eagles points,

Saints had a 7-3 win over Kingsley C  with Gabor Toth scoring a maximum with Nigel Thompson winning two and Mick Allen one. Nigel and Gabor also took the doubles with a walk over after Clive Appleton was injured.John Stamp won two and Terry Spurgeon one for Kingsley.
