You will be glad to hear that plans are in progress to recommence league table tennis with an anticipated start date of week beginning 11th October 2021.
Although still a couple of months away, the League season forms will be issued shortly and need to be returned in about a month’s time.
I therefore attach a Newton Abbot TTC membership application form which needs to be returned to me by August 31st
It would be extremely helpful, if you have not been in touch recently, to know your wishes for the coming season as soon as possible in order to assist us with the compilation of teams. It is likely that the league structure will remain as four divisions, probably with fewer teams and matches. Matches for the coming season will be slightly shorter with just 9 sets being played, with the doubles being dropped to aid social distancing and also help those clubs with timing issues.
The Early Season Tournament and the two handicap cup competitions have been cancelled for this season. So, with less Table Tennis and in an effort to encourage folk to return to the table the league has agreed a substantial reduction in fees for the coming season. Newton Abbot TTC have set their fees at - senior fee £6 and junior fee £4 for the whole of the season which will cover the league fees. (Match fees for home league matches of £5/player is still required to cover hall costs).
Unfortunately it will still be necessary for you to become a compete member of Table Tennis England – Seniors £16, Juniors £8.

Club sessions continue right through the summer on Friday nights with the Saturday morning session returning on 4thSept, so please join us as the season approaches.
