WEEK 6 REPORT
  • DIV 1
    With Ramblers and Titans not playing this week Woolton Hill Badgers took the opportunity of going second with a 7-3 Win over Upton Ultraviolets Malcolm Cummins won three and Andy Moore two and took the Doubles together.
    Thatcham A move into third place with an impressive 8-2 victory over Woolton Hill Eagles Andy Barnes and Richard Rosinski getting maximums and Tony Brown winning twice Barnes 11-9 decider against Antony Baker was the best game of the night
    Meanwhile at the other end of the table Thatcham Scorpions pulled out of the bottom three with a 9-1 win over Thatcham Lions with trebles from Lee Calcutt and Bill Stamatiou with Simon Barter just losing once. The game was closer than score suggests as only three matches were won three straight.
    DIV 2 
    This Division remains so close with three points separating the top seven places
    Thatcham C head the table at present after their 7- 3 win against Thatcham Scavengers with Bao Yulen Ly the hero with three wins and two each from Colin Price and Jeff Caddy Scavengers pushed them all the way losing four matches in five sets 
    Woolton Hill Wolverines are one point behind are unbeaten and have two games in hand and had a 7-3 win over Thatcham A and E Simon Sonsino and Robin Burns both won twice for Wolverines and Bill Bavister had a double for  A and E but no player won all three 
    AWE Fission are next after a big 9-1 against Inkpen Insuferables John McLarty and Bob Harris were unbeaten and George Wilson only lost once for Fission
    Thatcham Choppers and Woolton Hill Wildcats fought out a tough battle with Wildcats emmerging 8-4 winners thanks to doubles from Archie Dyson and Deepish Singh . Dyson just going down by 21-19 in deciding set to Jeremy Skelton who had two win for Choppers.
    Thatcham Spartans and Kintbury Cobra's were locked together at the end of the match 5-5 Celia Hooker was the star winning all her matches for Spartans whilst Ian Wu and Sajish Pavitran won two each and the Doubles for Cobra's
    DIV 3
    Leaders Thatcham Hawks were held to a draw by West Ilsley B . Ian Dickason kept his unbeaten record for Hawks but was pushed all the way by Steve Cobrin. Cobrin went on to win his other two games as did Roy Rayner.
    Thatcham Spitfires move into second place after their 8-2 defeat of Kintbury Dynamos with maximums from John Panting and Pat Shaw
    Thatcham Torenados had their first win of the season which took them to fifth place Their was a fine treble from Michael Sopp and doubles from Graham Uff  and Reece O'Neil
