INTER TOWN MATCHES
We drew our first match against Maidenhead after being 2 nil down and although Mark Banks was to strong we all won one each including a 3 straight win for Anthony Baker v Steve Miller - the first time Bakesy has beaten him. Pat Garlick nicked a crucial leg off Mark Banks that was to prove crucial in the final reckoning.

In out next game v Bracknell we won 6 nil - although the match was closer that the score suggested - Pat won both his games in 5 and Bakesy also won one of his games in 5 and I won both my games 3-1.

Reading beat everyone 6nil - although I manged to nick a leg off Stuart Williams which again was crucial as Maidenhead also beat Bracknell 6nil.

So we ended up level with Maidenhead on 3 point and we both had the same sets difference - we ended up second as in our match against them we won 10 sets against their nine (cos of Pat's game against Banksy) so ended up[ second.

There were only 2 Vets teams - so Reading won that division as well so lead the Barbara Peisley comp with 8 points with Newbury second on 3points.
