The top teams in Division 1 have started the New Year in good form, with all of them adding to their point’s total.

The team at the top of Division 1, Swerve B opened with a 10-0 victory against East Cleveland B; Dan Welsh, Alex Garlick and Andy Wilson all won their matches comfortably.

The team in second place of Division 1, Ormesby A enjoyed a 9-1 victory over Ormesby D with hat tricks from Dave Ashwell and Jack Cope.  The one victory for Ormesby D was secured by Ryan Nassau who beat Peter Wilkinson in straight games.

The team in fifth position, Beaumont Accountancy Nomads also recorded a strong win by beating their own B team by 9-1; Mark Walpole and Andy Phoenix both scored three whilst Steve Baines won two only to lose 3-0 to Tony Langley.

These results put Swerve B at the top with 41 points from 6 games, whilst Ormesby A are second with 39 from 6.  Ormesby B remains in the frame with 36 from 5, whilst Swerve A are also in strong contention with 35 from 4; Beaumont Accountancy Nomads with 30 from 5 are the outsiders, but remain in contention.
