A close match at Luton Road and with the score at 4-4 all results were possible. Peter Mortley beat Leigh Hickey in the 9th singles for his 2nd win of the evening and then teamed up with fellow double winner Andy Larner to win a close Doubles in the decider for the 6th and winning point. Earlier Phil Goldsmith enjoyed a successful evening with a maximum which required him to come back after losing the first 2 legs against Mortley Jnr. Larner pulled off a similar fightback in his game against Hickey. Gavin Tovey battled hard for Luton but went unrewarded although went very close to beating Trevor Mortley.
