Boxley ran out narrow 6-4 winners over Chatham Cumberland mainly due to an in-form Gary Hentschel treble. Hentschel was at his attacking best not dropping a single leg in his 3 wins. Gareth Fox and Trevor Towers both beat Lyndon Gurr and Barry Roles but teammate Phil Humphries was not able to get on the scoresheet. Boxley's victory was secured with Hentschel/Roles winning the Doubles in 4 against Fox/Towers.
