The 2 unbeaten teams in the Div 1 Cup, met Monday night for a top of the table clash, because in the Div 1 cup, teams only play each other once, this result had huge importance for the title.

Although Dean Brookes got player of the match for Zygabyte A, it was not enough as the home team Ravenshead Rascals won the tie 6-3.

Rascals won all the 3 double matches which in the end was the difference between the teams.

Rascals in their last Match in the Div 1 Cup in April will need 7 points to be guaranteed to be the first winners of Div 1 Cup,  as it was new to the 2014-15 season.

Lisa Lewis for the Angels won the Player of the match her 5th of the season so far, and also maintained her 100% win record in Division 2, the only person still to have an unblemished record, but this was not enough as these were the only points picked up with Zygabyte Old Bats winning all the other 7 ties of the Match.

Steve Scott won his 6th Player of the Match in 8 appearances the most by anyone so far this season, as he led the Rhino’s to a 9-1 victory over Hucknall 50+, this puts the Rhinos just 1pt behind the leaders with a game in hand.

The Match of the night was between Tony Swain & Jim Westwood ( 11-8, 11-6, 3-11, 10-12, 11-7 ), it was like watching an exhibition match with both players getting impossible balls and playing fantastic rallies, a real pleasure to watch on the night.
