Division 1 Report.
In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 Broadheath Belters continued their title charge with 8-2 victories against both CSSC Ramblers and Crackpots E. The win against title rivals Ramblers was particularly key achieved with a maximum from Sasha Grokhotov and 2 wins each for Brett Brining and Dave Harvey with Ramblers responding with wins for Chris Hewitt against Brett and Alan Salisbury against Dave ,his first defeat in the Malvern League. The win against Crackpots was more expected and featured maximums from both Sasha and Brett and 1 from John Stalker. Colin Dolding and Matt Hodges replied with wins for already relegated Crackpots. Ramblers bounced back with a 9-1 victory against Manor Park Pumas with maximums from Chris Hewitt and Graham Thompson, Pumas sole success was a hard fought 5 set victory for Dave Knowles against Alan Salisbury who took his other 2 games in the 5th set. Ledbury Collection were held to a 5-5 draw by Manor Park Express, Nigel Foreshew won his normal 3 for Collection and the doubles with Harry Jutle who also took a singles victory, Pete Griffiths and Dave Woodyatt with 2 each and Ray Page 1 replied for Express t earn a valuable draw in their fight against relegation. There was another draw between Ledbury Lions and Pterodactyls with Lions benefiting from a maximum from Patryk Kovacz supported by single wins from Steve Meredith and Mike Morgan. Ian Bell won 2 for Pterodactyls and the doubles with Steve Glazzard who also won his singles match against Mike as did Graham Collier against Steve Meredith.
Division 2 Report.
Manor Park Travellers were held for only the second time this season in an exciting 5-5 draw with Manor Park Rangers for whom Matt Lang was in superb form winning his 3 singles ably supported by Richard Cullis with 2 wins including a straight set defeat of Martin Snee. Toby Wren won 2 for Travellers with Pete Roberts and Martin also earning single victories, the draw was earned by Martin and Toby with a 4 set doubles win against Matt and Richard. Scuttling Gang maintained their title challenge with a 10-0 whitewash of Upton Floods thanks to maximums from Ray Davies, Bill Smith and Richard McKenna. Poolbrook Dynamos defeated Nomads 8-2 thanks to a maximum from John Phillips supported by Geoff Burford and Tom James with 2 wins, James Palmer and Arian Fray replied with single wins for Nomads.
Division 3 Report.
Crackpots D maintained their league leadership with a 7-3 defeat of an undermanned Tekkers with 2 wins for Bob Rhodes and the doubles with James Palmer. James also contributed a singles victory, Ben Meredith again showed his promise for Tekkers with 2 wins ably supported by his brother Luke who enjoyed a tight 5 set victory against Bob Hunt. Devils kept up their title challenge with an 8-2 victory against Abbeydowne thanks to maximums from both Paul Lythgoe and Pete Harding who also took the doubles against Niels Erikkson and Chris Burrows. Denis Chetwood contributed Devils other victory with Niels and Chris replying with single victories for Abbeydowne.
