Division 1 Report.
In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 Ledbury Collection maintained their league leadership with a narrow 6-4 victory against Ledbury Lions with Nigel Foresew again taking 3 games for Collection ably supported by Trevor Davies with 2 and Harry Jutle 1. Partyk Kovaxz was in fine form for Lions taking 2 games and Richard Smith 1 they also enjoyed an excellent 5 set doubles victory against Nigel and Harry. CSSC Ramblers kept up their challenge with a 7-3 win against Pterodactyl Old Boys thanks to 2 wins each from Alan Salisbury, Chris Hewitt and Graham Thompson. Wayne Chopping was in superb form for Old Boys taking all his 3 singles in straight sets. Ledbury Rovers eased their relegation concerns with a 6-4 win against already relegated Crackpots E with 2 wins each for Jack Castle and Bob Marshall and 1 from Ady Marshall, Ady and Jack also combine to take the crucial doubles in 5 sets against Richard Maddrell and Matt Hodges. Richard with 2, Matt 1 and Dave Steen, a superb 5 set victory against Ady replied for Crackpots.
Division 2 Report.
Champions Manor Park Travellers recorder another victory, 9-1 against X Police although there was a notable 5 set victory for James Mulka for X Police against Martin Snee, Toby Wren and Ken Hipwell were unbeaten for Travellers.The second promotion place remains wide open after Manor Park Rangers excellent 7-3 victory against Scuttling Gang thanks to superb performances by Matt Lang and Richard Cullis who both recorded 3 wins and combined to take the doubles against Ray Davies and Richard McKenna. Richard, Ray and Bill Smith replied with single wins for Scuttling Gang. YMCA Vulcans defeated Poolbrook Dynamos 6-4 with 2 wins each from John Cawthra and Richard Bennett and 1 from Simon Harrison. Richard and Simon also won the doubles against Geoff Burford and Tom James. John Phillips was again unbeaten for Dynamos with Geoff Burford contributing the other victory.
Division 3 Report.
Division 3 remains extremely close with 3 teams still in with a chance of taking the title ,Crackpots D remain favorites despite being held to a 5-5 draw by rapidly improving Abbeydowne for whom Niels Eriksson and Chris Burrows won 2 each ably supported by Len Hitchman with 1. Bob Rhodes again took 3 for Crackpots with James Palmer 1, they also combined to take the doubles against Niels and Chris. Their closest challengers Tornados and Manor Park Devils also drew 5-5 with Andy Banks and Dominic Weston winning 2 each for Tornados and the doubles against Peter Harding and Paul Lythgoe. Paul saved 2 match points against Dominic on his way to 2 victories and Pete also won 2 with Liz Hallam taking 1. Poolbrook Panthers enjoyed a surprise 6-4 victory against Crackpots B thanks to a superb maximum from Ewan Gear who also won the doubles with Collette James inflicting a rare 5 set defeat on veterans Ted Cates and Alan Forsdyke. Collette and Ian Sage also contributed singles victories, Ted 2, Alan 1 and Stan Gynn 1 replied for Crackpots.
