Player of the Match

The tabletennis365 website is continually evolving. It now includes the option to view the 'Player of the Match' (PoTM) from the 'Fixtures & Results' drop down menu. Traditionally the website selects the PoTM by the following criteria;-

  • Sets For
(the number of sets the player wins in the whole match)
  • if tied on the above, then by the least games against
(the number of games (ends, rubbers) against, in the whole match)
  • if tied on the above, then by the biggest points difference
(the difference in the number of points for and against, in the whole match)
  • if tied on the above, then by the most games for
(the number of games (ends, rubbers) for, in the whole match)

The outcome will always be the player who won the most sets, games etc. but this may not reflect the views of those who took part. If both team captains agree that a player's contribution to the match was worthy of being ‘PoTM’ then we would welcome their nomination. Both captains would need to be in agreement and indicate their nomination on the scorecard. Any scorecards returned with no, or different nominations, the PoTM will be selected by the default calculations above

PLEASE ensure scorecards are accurate and complete in every detail before returning
