Coronavirus Health Emergency

After careful consideration and following the advice given by Table Tennis England and HM Government, the LBCS League will continue to run as normal.

If possible, please fulfil your fixtures as usual. However, if anyone feels that they do not wish to play and matches have to be cancelled, no penalties will be applied. The welfare of all players is of paramount importance.

The situation is constantly changing and it is possible that some venues will have to close.
eg if the Abbey Centre closes this will have a ‘knock on’ effect on many matches.

The following guide is from TTE and should be followed at all matches.

· Umpires to suspend handshakes at matches until further notice.

· All members to follow the public health authorities’ advice on frequent hand-washing.

· All players who have recently returned from affected areas abroad and/or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 must self-declare and not attend LBCS matches. This applies equally to players, coaches, parents, spectators, officials and venue staff.

If you have any questions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
