PING 2018

The PING 2018 programme is due to start in the next few months.  This programme puts table tennis tables in many locations around the city and allows members of the public to use the tables and hopefully identify people who want to play in the local league.  During the last few years many local volunteers have helped run the PING programme and it is hoped this will continue for PING 2018.

This year a Ping Parlour is going to be set up in St. John's Precinct, Liverpool.  This will be a table tennis table and equipment set up in an empty shop so that the public can use the table while they are out shopping or having a social day out.  It is hoped the premises will be handed over to he organisers during March.

PING is looking for volunteers to help run the programme during the summer months.  As mentioned before there are already some local league players who have helped in previous years and the organisers are looking for further volunteers.  There is going to be a Ping Volunteers training day on Wednesday 28th February.  Further details will be circulated in the next few days.  If you are interested in being a PING volunteer please contact Sylvia Wensley at 07545-200316 or sysvia.wensley@liverpool.gov.uk or Martin Ireland at martin.ireland@tabletennisengland.co.uk.
