Prior to the start of the 2016-17 season all members of Table Tennis England were covered by Public Liability Insurance.  This insurance covered Local Leagues, Committee members and club members if they were sued for negligence arising out of an official tables tennis match.

At the start of the 2016-17 season Table Tennis England affiliation fees increased by £2 but that increase allowed TTE to introduce Accidental Insurance cover for all its paying members and also for volunteers affiliated to TTE.  This means that if a league member is injured while playing a league match and needs physiotherapy or some other form of medical treatment they will be able to make a claim against the TTE Insurance cover.

The insurance will also cover volunteers who regulary help Local Leagues or clubs in setting up and dismantling venues for competitions.  It is important that volunteers are linked to TTE as a volunteer.  If they are not already a paid affiliated member the volunteer must be created as a TTE Associate member and linked as a volunteer.

Details of the Public Liability Insurance and Accidental Insurance cover can be found on the "Download" tab at the top of the home page.
