I have just been to a wonderful ceremony at Lincoln Crematorium to celebrate the life of Dave Harper. Dave was a honest lovely man as all who knew him know. I would like to just talk about his Table Tennis though.

The CHRISTMAS HANDICAP SINGLES 2017 was played last Tuesday.

An enthusiastic cross section of Lincoln Table Tennis players took part in what was for all of them a very busy testing event with handicaps being reassessed every time they played.

Lex swept past Ian by 21-15,21-7.

Christmas Handicap ,Consolation event saw many very well handicapped matches. Evergreen ,Mick Johnson reached yet another final, showing what a very competitive fighter he is. along the way he squeezed past Semiu by 21-18,21-18 and Bill Holmes  by 21-19,16-21,21-16.

CONSOLATION EVENTPlayers losing their First match will be entered into a Consolation Event. This may be one game only of up to 21. (Because of time constraints) or if there is time, the best of three.The Final of this event will be on a best of three game basis.

THIS WEEK HE MANAGED TO INFLICT DEFEAT ON THE MAESTRO ANDY WIGNALL BY 11-9,11-9,6-11,11-4. HIS FIRST LEAGUE DEFEAT FOR SIX YEARS!
