Kingfisher 2018 Summer Grand Prix - Volunteers Urgently Needed

You may have noticed that there is no mention yet of the Kingfisher Grand Prix on the Table Diary for 2018.

We are hoping to run it this summer, but at the moment don’t have enough volunteers to run it.

If you are willing to help out, or would like to find out more about what is involved, please contact a member of the committee as soon as you can.  Ideally a small team of volunteers needs to be formed in order to provide cover for the 12 week series which would need to start no later than Monday 4th June, in order to complete by the end of the summer season.

About the Grand Prix

In previous summer seasons, the Kingfisher Grand Prix has been a popular Monday evening competition, with each player having at least two matches on the night with a random draw into the main event, and a consolation event for those knocked out of the main event in their first round.

Players accumulate points over the summer, and there are prizes awarded to the top players at the end of the Grand Prix Series, which normally runs for 12 weeks.
