Changes to coaching programme for Summer 2012

JULY 17 2012 - In recent weeks there have been some changes to our summer 2012 coaching programme; for full details, please see the Coaching Page or contact the Coaching Officer.

Note - Kingfisher is essentially a practise club and, in addition to any organised coaching sessions, members are encouraged to practise whenever the facilities are not booked; see Table Diary for bookings.

The organised coaching / training programme for summer 2012 (throughout the school holidays) is as follows:

Mondays (17:00 - 19:00) Junior beginners coaching - for new players who wish to learn the basics of the sport.

Tuesdays (17:00 - 19:00) Junior improving player coaching - for JBL & NJL squad members and improving players with the desire to train and develop their technique for competitive play.

Wednesdays (17:00 - 21:00) Junior training / practice - junior players train with practise partners to improve one or more attributes of their game.  First two hours (5pm - 7pm) for squad members of Kingfisher teams and attendees of Regional Development Group, second two hours (7pm - 9pm) for advanced players and members of High Performance Centre.

Fridays (19:30 - 21:30) Adult coaching and training - for senior members of any age or ability wishing to improve their table tennis skills.   Focus on table exercises, multiball training and group discussion for those wanting to prepare for the coming competitive season, identify areas for technique improvement or learn new training exercises for use in their practice.
