8-1 is the score in NJL

20th OCTOBER 2012 - An inexperienced Kingfisher team won two of their three matches in the National Junior League (Under 18s) at Cippenham this weekend.  Having beaten Chiltern 8-1 and following up with a terrific win by the same margin against Horsham, Kingfisher - represented by (from left to right) James Ellicott, Antony Talbot and Isaac Farnworth - fell by the same 8-1 scoreline to a very strong Kidlington team who now top the division.

In what was Antony's first ever competitive outing - and only Isaac's second - the boys excelled themselves against far more experienced opposition with James and Isaac winning 67% of their matches whilst Antony weighed in with 5 wins from 9 (56%).

With Mike Jones and Kevin Gurung likely to supplement the NJL squad in the next series of matches, you can watch the team playing at Cippenham, Slough, on the following Saturdays: 1st December, 26th January and 2nd March.  The NCL team (Cadets, Under 15) also play their matches at Cippenham, their next fixtures will be on Sundays 18th November, 3rd February and 17th March.
