Horrabridge Junior Table Tennis Tournament
On Sunday 13th December, nine young members from Joola Plymouth TDC participated in the Horrabridge Junior Table Tennis Tournament. The day saw 28 young players, aged between 7 and 11 from Devon and Cornwall, competing in their first tournament with Joola Plymouth ruling the day.
In the boys year 3-4 games, Joola Plymouth player Charlie Dolton beat Josh Brownlow to win the first title of the day. For the consolation title, Ben Hutchinson played Daniel Cooper in the final; it was Ben who won the game and the medal.
Next saw an all Joola Plymouth final with Ollie Cornish taking on Ptolemy Beman for the boys year 4-5 title. After a closely fought game it was Ollie who won the match brining a second title back to Plymouth. In the consolation cup, Charlie Brownlow beat Adam Lee in the final.
The girl’s games began with a sibling rivalry for the years 3-4 title. Chloe Kay took on her twin sister Gypsie Kay in a hard fought final match, it was Chloe who managed to beat her sister bringing home a third trophy for Joola Plymouth. Plymouth’s own Jennylee Colling took on Ella Whitfield for the consolation cup, unfortunately Jennylee couldn’t stand up to Ella who won the title.
In the final category of the day, Joola Plymouth player Ffion Edmunds took on fellow Joola Plymouth player Holly Davis for the girl’s year 5-6 title. In an exciting final match, Ffion beat Holly to win the title. For the consolation game Kirsty Balsden beat Chloe Anderson for the title.
