West Sussex Schools Individuals Championships 2014

Five Horsham players won the right to take one of the eight English Schools National Table Tennis Individual Finals places at the West Sussex Championships held at Collyers in Horsham on Sunday. Harry Filson (U11 Boys), Melissa Berry (U11 girls), George Hazell (U16 boys), Holly Holder (U16 girls) and Dan Barna (U19 boys) now have the opportunity to go to Doncaster on 26th April to see if they can win the national title. Over 50 players attended a successfully run event.


U11 Boys Winner – Harry Filson (Horsham - Holbrook School) beat Jacob Evans (Horsham - Southwater Academy) 3-1

U11 Girls Winner – Melissa Berry (Horsham - Kingslea School)

U13 Boys Winner – Ryan Darwen (Bognor) - Philip Howard School) beat Bertrand Tsun Hang Siu (Handcross - Handcross Park School) 3-2

U13 Girls Winner – Kate Cheer (Crawley - Ifield Community College), runner-up in group Alice Hazell (Horsham - Tanbridge School)

U16 Boys Winner – George Hazell (Horsham - Tanbridge School) beat Marcus Bracey (Worthing - St Andrews School) 3-1

U16 Girls Winner – Holly Holder (Horsham - Millais School), runner-up in group Katie Hood (Bognot - The Regis School)

U19 Boys Winner – Dan Barna (Horsham - Collyers), runner-up in group Harry Collins (Sackville - East Grinstead)

U19 Girls Winner – Lois Peake (Arundel)
