   Adeyfield B   8 - 2   Northchurch A

Fourth placed Adeyfield B took on fifth placed Northchurch A, and looked favourites on paper, with the main threat looking to be Steve Laird, who has made a good start in the division. The home team got off to a fine start as Mariusz Puczynski beat Bronwen Watson in four games, before the first of the big match ups. Martyn Ford took the first leg against Steve, but Steve hit back to win the second 11-0 ! However, it was nip and tuck after that, as they traded games, and it stayed close to the death, with Martyn just edging it 11-9 in leg five! The home team extended their lead, as Martin Johnson beat George Wood, Martyn beat Bronwen, then Mariusz defeated George, all in straight games. Martin (J) found some good attacking form, to ease past Steve's challenge, and Adeyfield reached 8-0 up, as both Martyn and Martin completed their maximums. Finally, though, Northchurch got on the scoresheet, as after another tight game, Steve weathered Mariusz's fast hits to win in four legs, and then he teamed up with Bronwen, to grab another point, as they defeated Martyn and Mariusz in a close doubles.
