Funeral of ex-League Player - Edward Lemon - 28th June - 3pm

We recently heard the sad news of the death of former League Player

  EDWARD (Eddie) LEMON

who played in the Hemel Hempstead & District Table Tennis League for well over 50 years, from some time around the late 1950's, through to 2012, when he decided to hung up his table tennis bat!  We heard that he died, after a period of illness, on 12th June, aged 82.  Eddie lived in Berkhamsted, and latterly played for the Northchurch Table Tennis Club.  Our condolences to his family and friends, and he is well remembered in table tennis circles.  Always a fierce competitor, with a strong defence, he will be remembered as a very good player (especially in his younger days) and indeed is a four-time Hemel League Champion, having won the Men's Doubles with partner, Henry Carmen, three times in four years between 1963 and 1966, and more recently, he won the Mixed Doubles title with Jackie Channell (then Jackie North) in 2000.

His funeral is being held  on  Thursday, 28th June at 3pm
at   Sunnyside Church - St. Michaels and All Angels, Ivy House Lane, Berkhamsted, Herts, HP4 2PP
with a Wake afterwards, at Berkhamsted Golf Club.
