Division Two

As with division one there is a clear leader, Magiks who have 54 points.

This week Magiks defeated Smashing Pumpkins 10-0 with trebles all round for Mel Sims, Kevin Deacon and Tony Turk. Smashing Pumpkins Peter Vincent, Simon Howard and Oliver Howard never gave up and Magiks had to work hard for their win.

In spot number two,  Burning Rubber are staking a claim for promotion to division one following a 10-0 win over nearest rivals Pingwins. For Burning Rubbers it was two wins and a walkover for Steve Lee, Blake Davies and Gavin Pitts with Blake and Gavin also winning the doubles.

Dangermen were also 10-0 winners over the girls of Swifts. For Dangermen it may have been trebles all round for Colin Cooper, Tony Pells and Ron Bailham but the comment from Tony Pells was the score card needs to be in the report as our match against Alanna Blain, Claudia Hough and Emily Dunsby was one of the toughest matches we have played.

Final match in division two saw a two man Cutting Edge team hold out for a five all draw with Blade Runners.
For Cutting Edge a treble for David Polhill plus one for Dan Polhill with David and Dan winning the doubles in the fifth set over Blade Runners. For Blade Runners one win each for Keith Johnson and Malcolm Norwood plus three walkovers.

On a hot point! for all players the hall was very warm as the heating could not be turned off.
