The top teams in Division Two of the Hastings & District Table Tennis League met in a titanic clash which saw Bexhill E beat Tigers A 6-4 and leave the title in the balance after Tina Beaney won three games for Bexhill and Chris Woods two for Tigers. Bexhill led 3-0 after a tense opening which saw Paul Welford beat Roger Smith and Beaney beat Dave Mitchell, both at 15-13 in the decider.  The result leaves Bexhill 5 points ahead with two to play, but Tigers have a game in hand.

At the foot of the table, Bexhill F did themselves no harm when maximums from Harvey Webb and Frank Brown helped them to an 8-2 win over bottom side Hollington B.

Hollington B then bounced back to beat Tackleway E 6-4, with two wins each from Ryan Demeza, Amelia Long and Yasar Akar and Phil Toze winning two for the losers.

It was not a good week for Tackleway in Division One, with backmarkers Tackleway B needing more than the point they gained from a 6-4 defeat to Saints B who had Ron Davenport unbeaten and two wins from John Wond. Second from bottom Tackleway C lost 9-1 to second placed Bexhill A who had maximums from Ryan Warner and Martin Kellaway and two from David Rayment.

Also in the relegation zone, Bexhill B gained ground on Bexhill G with a 4-6 defeat to Saints A. Dave Butler won three and James Winchester two for Saints while Andy Summers picked up two for the losers.

Bexhill G missed out on a point from a 9-1 loss to Hollington Academy B who had maximums from Rose Rainton and Tony Catt and two from Sheila King.

The struggle at the top of Division Three continued with Tackleway F playing twice in two days without number one Kevin Eastman. Simon Newstead filled in admirably with a maximum against Tackleway G while Doug Bick won two, as did Zac Allen for the losers. Kevin Bignell filled in against rivals Bexhill I, which ended 5-5 with Bignell and Bick both winning two and Dan Starnes unbeaten for Bexhill.
