As the Hastings & District Junior Table Tennis League reaches the end of the regular season, the Division 1 table is distorted by a large number of games still to be played.

Bangers and Smash (Jack Bounsall and Zachary Allen), with one game outstanding, have a ten point lead and have lost only once. In their most recent game, they beat second placed Halle Joola 4-1 when Allen retained his 100% record but Bounsall was beaten by Adam Akar.

Bangers and Smash could still be overhauled by Unbelievable Tekkers (Brandon Darch and Marcus Lee) who have not dropped a point but have played less than half of their matches. Their last game was a comfortable 5-0 defeat of TT Demons.

The Demons notched only their second win in beating Awesome Blaze 4-1, when Reece Lincoln was unbeaten.

In contrast, Division 2 has only a handful of games outstanding and has been very competitive.

The Choppers (Joe Ackerly and Louis Aubinet) and Super Side Spinners (Samuel Ward and Mason Harris) are locked together on 20 points, both with one game to play.  The Choppers lead on sets won and must be favourites, needing a win of any kind against bottom side Ping Pong Wizards.

The Choppers are in this position after beating Super Side Spinners 4-1, when Ackerly was unbeaten and Aubinet won one, losing to Ward in three games.

Third placed The Smashers are only 2 points adrift after a 4-1 win over Balls of Steel when Jack Hatton was unbeaten. They also have one game to play and could still snatch second place.

Chloe Towner was unbeaten for Wacky Whackers as they beat Table Toppers 4-1.
