In Division One of the Hastings & District Table Tennis League, third placed Saints A may have drifted out of contention after drawing 5-5 with Hollington B. Rose Rainton enjoyed a fine maximum for Hollington, including narrow 5-set wins over Dave Butler and James Winchester, who both picked up 2 wins for Saints.

Bexhill C eased out Bexhill B  6-4 with Graham Gillett unbeaten and Pete Robinson winning 2, as did Andy Summers for the losers.

In Division 2, Tackleway C returned to form with a 7-3 win at NALGO A in which James Gorridge was unbeaten, including a rare defeat for the home side’s Paul Hyland, who won 2 games. Kevin Rowe and Andy Brown also won 2 apiece for Tackleway.

Bexhill D kept pace with the tightest of 6-4 wins over Tackleway D with a maximum for Ryan Warner. Sue Sullivan won 2 for Tackleway but Bexhill clinched the win with a doubles victory at 19-17 in the 5th set for Ryan and Paul Welford.

Leaders Bexhill E kept their spot with a 7-3 defeat of Hollington E with 3 wins for John Bradbury and 2 wins from Brian Beaney and Cameron Jones. Bradley Heselden won 2 for Hollington but Bexhill dropped a point when losing the doubles in straight sets to the Heselden brothers.

 

In Division 3, Tigers E edged past NALGO B 6-4  with an Adam Mabb maximum and 2 wins for Joshua Bennett, while John Robertson won 2 for the losers.
