The Junior section  of the Hastings & District Table Tennis League is now well under way with two Divisions of seven teams each playing matches on Wednesdays at St.Leonards Academy in a two-a-side format.

After three rounds of matches Division 1 already has a clear hierarchy with three teams having won all their games 5-0. Bangers and Smash (Zachary Allen and Jack Bounsall) have the slight advantage of having played one more match than their rivals, with Allen yet to lose a set.

Adam Akar and Hanza Husain are keeping Halle Joola in contention with Akar, who has played in the senior league this season, looking impressive.

Also unbeaten are Unbelievable Tekkers, thanks to the efforts of Brandon Darch and Marcus Lee.

After two defeats, TT Lads got their season moving with a 4-1 win over Fiery Balls with two wins for Amy Moule and one from Maria Leonard. Billy Kennedy-Carr picked up the consolation for Fiery Balls.

Division 2 looks much more competitive with Backspinners the only unbeaten side and their Holli Ferguson the only unbeaten player with good support coming from Georgia Rose Ferguson.

Super Side Spinners (Samuel Ward and Mason Harris) have won two on the roll since their early defeat to Backspinners, including a 3-2 win over The Smashers, for whom Brandon Moule was unbeaten.

Wacky Whackers have also recovered from a bad start, culminating in a 4-1 win over Balls of Steel in which Chloe Towner was unbeaten.
