Hollington Academy A still lead Division 1 of the Hastings & District Table Tennis League after Paul Barry’s maximum and two wins from Basher Obeyed saw them beat Saints B 7-3. In Division 3, Monarchs were tested by Tackleway G before edging home 6-4, mainly through the efforts of Andrew Edwards who won all his games in straight sets. Douglas Bick and Kevin Eastman both won two games for Tackleway.
Tigers C had a 9-1 win over NALGO B in which Michael Foster and Chris Floyd were unbeaten and John Campbell won two games.
Leaders Bexhill F consolidated their position with an 8-2 defeat of third-placed Hollington D with maximums from Harvey Webb and Malcolm Glover. Hollington’s two wins were both hard-earned with Ryan Demeza and Kieran Gibbs winning at deuce in the 5th against Ricky Knight.
