The Division One title in the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League seems to have been secured by Cwmbran Aztecs with three matches remaining. In their latest match they saw off their closest challengers Cwmbran Blues 16-14. However, the Blues did supply the player of the match in David D Lloyd whose three wins included a good win over Tony Collins, who suffered only his third defeat of the season. For the Aztecs Collins and Andrew Ryder picked up two wins each. 

The other match in Division One saw YMCA Preachers secure a narrow 19-17 win over Cardiff Nomads.  Player of the match was the Preachers' Ray Goulding with three wins. For the Nomads there were two wins for guest player Jeraze Dhanbhoora and a good win for Iestyn Howells over Claire Flannagan.

This weeks matches in Division Two saw Cwmbran Eccentrics extend their lead at the top to six points with a 26-8 win over Cwmbran Panthers. Player of the match was John Thomas with three wins and he was well supported by guest player John Williams, also with three wins, and Lincoln Alford with two wins. For the Panthers Howard Gaut picked up his teams only success.

North Gwent Cougars maintained their challenge by beating Cwmbran Fellows 22-12. However, it was the Fellows' Wayne Ford who picked up the player of the match award with three very hard fought wins. For the Cougars, Michel Policht and Sam Slatter collected two wins each.

The final match in Division Two saw Cwmbran Dynamos defeat Cwmbran Lions 24-6. Player of the match was the Dynamos' Richard Lownsbrough with three wins and he was well supported by Alex Jones, also with three wins, and Will Smith-Haddon with two wins. For the Lions, John Williams collected his teams only success.
