GHTTC victorious in 2018 Rowhedge Summer League

The winning GHTTC team that largely comprised of members of our E and F Teams outgunned some serious competition. One suspects that their individual handicaps won't be as generous in future. However, three of the stalwarts of this team only joined the club in the last twelve months; and none of the regular four had played competitive table tennis for many years.  So whilst not complete novices, they justifiably warranted their 'Division Four' handicaps.

Andy Ayton and Darren Hepple only joined the club after playing 'Beat the Robot' at the Myland Fete. Rarely absent from practice, their progressive improvement in standard has been remarkable.  Ben Campbell has had the honour of claiming a tournament trophy before ever playing in any CDTTL (or any other) league game. Steve Lustig has returned after an absence of at least twenty years. We wish all every success in the regular winter league this coming season.
