EDTTA Division 1 Report 2nd November

Kington Blades are the early leaders of Evesham & District Specsavers Division 1, following decisive victories over Bengeworth Purple and Kington Bulldogs. Blades’ Craig Norledge produced 3 singles wins in both matches and remains undefeated so far this season.

 

Kington Bulldogs bounced back from their defeat against Blades to put in a strong performance against Bengeworth Red, winning 8-2. Malcolm MacFarlane was inspirational for Bulldogs, coming from 2-1 down to defeat Red’s top player Jack Davis in 5 sets.

 

Wyre Livewyres are still searching for their first win, after a 7-3 defeat against Littleton Clubs. Matt Hartwell won his first two singles matches for Livewyres, but eventually lost 3-1 to Clubs’ Dave Harvey. Littleton Clubs are now 3rd in the table, just below local rivals Littleton Positives. Positives’ Nick Mytton and Doug Payne are looking particularly strong this season, with an unbeaten 9 wins each.
