Week Ten Report
In Div One Cwmbran Blues have virtually sealed the title after gaining maximum points in their match against North Gwent Steelers. Despite losing every game the Steelers fought all the way and picked up 11 points with Greg Price taking 2 of his matches to a deciding set. Cwmbran Aztecs look to be favourites for the runners up position despite losing a close match with their nearest rivals YMCA Preachers, for whom Ray Goulding put in a player of the match performance. In Div Two Cwmbran Dynamos continue to dominate following their latest win over Cwmbran Devils. The highlight of the match was an exciting and keenly fought match between Alson Limbu(Dynamos) and Star Limbu(Devils) which Alson won in 5 sets. The battle for second place took a significant turn with the defeat of Cwmbran Fellows by Cwmbran Eccentrics meaning that the Eccentrics now have a 6 point advantage over their rivals. The youngsters of Blaenavon Aces continue to show improvement in their first season of competitive table tennis, despite another loss, this time to Cwmbran Panthers. The league season now takes a break of 2 weeks and will return on 7th January.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our players.
