Vote for Paul in ITTF Star Point Award!

Paul Drinkhall has been nominated for one of the ITTF’s top awards – and the winner will be decided by a public vote.

The England No 1 features in one of five rallies which have been shortlisted for the Star Point Award, part of the 2017 ITTF Star Awards.

The rally came in his brilliant quarter-final victory over Yuya Oshima at the Australian Open back in July, and it was Paul who came out on top in the rally, which brought up his match point.

Drinkhall is up against four other superb tussles, which you can watch below:

You can then vote for your favourite by visiting the ITTF Star Awards website and clicking on the vote button at the top of the page – voting closes on November 24th.

The awards ceremony will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on December 14th on the first day of the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals.

It is the second year in a row that an English player has been nominated for the Star Point Award – Sam Walker was on the shortlist last year.

It was one of three awards with English nominees – Walker, Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford were on the shortlist for the ITTF Breakthrough Star Award and Alan Cooke was nominated for the ITTF Star Coach Award.
