Brandon C V Eagles

A close competitive game between two well matched teams and with the three 5 enders going to Eagles made the difference in the result. Youngsters Luke Dumighan and Jack Pugh both took two games for Eagles and they were backed up by Paul Salkeld taking 2 and with Eagles taking the doubles it gave them the game 7-3. The Brandon and Byshottles team can take heart in putting in a terrific display with Steve Pattinson taking MVP and both Becca Harrison and Chris Leishman putting in some great displays. Well done to all.

 

Comets v Brandon D


Comets were after maximum points to maintain their promotion push and turned out Colin, Nikki and Debbie against the young talented Ryan Morton, and the experienced John Parkin and explosive Ian Cumpson. Nikki and Debbie put in excellent performances to take take two games each but Colin was MVP with all 3 games. Ryan did best for Brandon with 2 good wins but Brandon went down 8-2 on the night.

Bombers V St Gabriels D

This is too early in the season to be a title decider but St Gabriel's D are the closest team to Bombers in the fight for promotion so a lot was at stake. The youngsters of Bombers, Dan and Max, were joined by Ian McPherson against Craig Burton, Istvan Franko and Lynda Todd.
Some well contested matches took place but the youngster’s power came through, and both Dan and Max were unbeaten on the night and with Ian losing against Istvan, Bombers extended their lead with a comfortable 9-1 victory.

Aces v St Gabriels B
This was going to be fascinating match between the consistent players of St Gabriel's B, Joe Muldowney and Graham Murden and the attacking Jake Helm against Aces phenomenal Waldemar Dzwonkowski, captain Duncan Fraser and the reliable Jon Mawson. Waldemar again won 3 but was pushed in his match against Joe. Duncan backed him up by beating Graham and Jake and with Waldemar won the doubles. Both Jake and Graham won one each giving the Aces a 6-4 victory on the night
