Club Development Plan

           Crewe Central Table tennis Club

date (2014 -2015)

Club BACKGROUND AND INTRODUCTION

The Crewe Central Table Tennis Club was formally created in May 2012.  On its first Club Night 6 members were enrolled.  The current Club Membership now stands at 69, of whom 28 are young people under the age of 18.  Our oldest member is 83 years old and our youngest is 10 years old.  We welcome allcomers of any age, ethic group, gender or beliefs.  Female members are especially welcomed as in order to represent our local community we should have more women and young girls in membership.  The growth in membership has enabled the Club to increase the number of teams entered into League competitions from 6 in 2012/2013 to 12 in 2013/2014 and we are planning a further increase to 18 teams in 2014/2015.  In addition to that we have worked with the Crewe an District Table Tennis League (CDTTL) to introduce a new competition for our Members who are under 16 years of age  – NewGen Division with 6 new teams.

Crewe Central is affiliated to the English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) Premier Club Programme and is working towards the Sport England Clubmark accreditation
