In Division 1 of the Crewe and District Table Tennis League, Bentley Travel Visa closed on the title with a 10 – 0 whitewash of Foxes with Chris Bailey, Kevin Foster and Will Haynes all proving too strong for the opposition. Elsewhere, PO Dragons were also 10 – 0 winners against Stags with Bernard Thorley, Chris Hough and Simon Lafferty all on form and Elks gained a 6 – 4 win over PO Eagles thanks to a maximum from James Courtney and a brace of wins from Braden Jones.
In Division 2, leaders Cobras enjoyed a 7 – 3 win against a depleted Bears side with Barry Pountain unbeaten whilst Lynx were 8 – 2 winner over Wolves with Chris Harris on top form and Alin Vascuta and Jon Clarke both hitting a brace of wins. Rhinos gained the divisions biggest win with a 10 – 0 hammering of Otters with Darryl Klopper, Steve Tizard and Paul Benbow on form and Panthers 6 – 4 winners against Bobcats with Gary McManus and Steve Jones both hitting maximums.In Division 3, Sloths gained a 9 – 1 win against Polecats with Ed Pettitt and Joe Heywood both unbeaten and pair of wins for Ben Wright whilst Stoats were 8 – 2 winners over Rheas thanks to Nina Elizabeth maximum and two wins each for Connor Riddell and Gavin Soulsby. Worleston Woodpeckers were given the points when Water Rats were no shows.
