In Division 1 Crewe and District Table Tennis League, Bentley Travel Visa scored a 10 – 0 win over PO Eagles with Chris Bailey, Phil Barnish and Will Haynes all on top form, whilst other result saw Elks gain a 9 – 1 victory against Stags with James Courtney, Tyrese Richards and Callum Tizard all unbeatable and PO Dragons gained a 6 – 4 win over PO Tigers thanks to a Simon Lafferty maximum, a brace of wins each for Alan Shaw and Rupert Turner for Tigers ensured a close finish to the match. The other match played saw Kidsgrove notch a 7 – 3 win against Foxes with Paul Oltean and John Dawson both hitting trebles.
In Division 2, Cobras carried on with their fine start to the season with a 10 – 0 whitewash of Otters with Barrie Morgan, Barry Pountain and Dave Stubbs on good form. Elsewhere, Bobcats enjoyed an 8 – 2 win over Wolves with Douggie Muirhead and Aiden Parker both unbeaten and Panthers gained a narrow 6 – 4 win against Rhinos with Steve Jones and Gary McManus each scoring a brace of wins for Panthers whist Darryl Kloppers maximum in the match couldn’t save the Rhinos from defeat. The other match played saw Bears and Lynx make a 5 – 5 draw with Tom Osborne putting in a man of the match performance for Bears who also had Dave Prince score a pair of wins.In Division 3, Stoats lead the rest after a 9 – 1 win over Polecats with Connor Riddell, Chris Tulip and Ben Wright all on top form, Sloths also enjoyed a 9 – 1 victory against Water Rats with Phil Roy and Ben Aston both unbeaten and two wins for Enoch Agordo. Worleston Woodpeckers got their first win, 6 – 4 against Lion Cubs thanks to a maximum from Marten Davies and brace of wins from Mark Baldwin whilst two wins from Ed Pettitt provided the Cubs main response and finally Pumas were 7 – 3 winners over Rheas with a Dennis Artess hat trick and two wins from Lewis Manslow securing the victory, a pair of wins from Christine Clapham was Rheas main highlight.
